“Baby 81”, el nuevo y cuarto disco de BLACK REBEL MOTORCYCLE CLUB, es un álbum ambicioso, poderoso y pleno de rock ‘n roll. Su sonido esta un tanto apartado del acústico HOWL, editado en 2005, aquel aclamado trabajo que probó el talento innato de esta banda. Ahora, BRMC, hace una transición hacia ese sonido liderado por las guitarras que hicieron a los fans caer rendidos a sus pies en un primer momento.
“Baby 81” nació apenas terminado HOWL, cuando Peter Hayes (guitarra, voces) y Robert Levon Been (bajo, voces, teclado) se reunieron en estudio con Nick Jago (baterista), luego de un breve distanciamiento a principios de ese año. El título del álbum fue inspirado en el nombre de un niño que se encontraba en el hospital tras el tsunami de 2004. El bebe fue reclamado por nueve madres diferentes, reencontrándose finalmente con su familia.
