El ex líder y cantante de Pulp se presenta por primera vez en Buenos Aires los días 11 y 12 de Marzo a las 20:30 hs en La Trastienda Club, Balcarce 460. Dos fechas en las que, junto a su banda, presentará las canciones de su elogiado disco solista “Jarvis”. Invitados: Coco (día 11) y Banda de Turistas (día 12)
Siete discos con Pulp y un estilo elegante convirtieron a Jarvis Cocker en un ícono del pop británico de la década de los ´90. Alejado de la disputa entre Oasis y Blur, en todos esos años Cocker prefirió concentrarse en forjar una carrera musical que le sirvió para ubicar a algunos de sus discos -“Different Class” (1995) y “This Is Hardcore” (1998)- entre los clásicos de la época.
Tras disolver la banda, Jarvis se dedicó a su familia y actividades vinculadas a la música, pero en un segundo plano. Compuso algunas canciones para el soundtrack de "Harry Potter y el Caliz de Fuego", armó el grupo "Relaxed Muscle" junto a miembros de Fat Truckers, colaboró con Kid Loco para "Monsieur Gainsbourg revisited" y en el debut discográfico de Charlotte Gainsbourg
Pero en el 2006, Jarvis Cocker decidió dar el paso que todos esperaban. Su primer disco solista (Jarvis) superó las expectativas generadas, con canciones más maduras que muestran a un Cocker con conciencia social.
