Franny Glass y Los Kahunas hablan antes de su show en Compass

Este Viernes en Compass habrá surf en el Lado A de la mano de Los Kahunas, mientras que el Lado B recibirá al uruguayo Gonzalo Deniz, más conocido como Franny Glass, en el medio de su primera gira por Buenos Aires. Antes de tocar, esto es lo que dijeron:

- ¿Qué tienen preparado para el show en Compass?

Franny Glass: Voy a aprovechar para presentar las canciones de mi primer disco "Con la mente perdida en intereses secretos", y para adelantar algunas del segundo, que está en proceso de grabación. Preparé unas 20 canciones para estas 4 fechas de Buenos Aires, y el día del show elijo las que voy a tocar. Trato de no repetirme mucho en los conciertos, y a la vez tocar en todos algunas canciones que creo que deben estar.

Los Kahunas: Nosotros vamos a tocar temas de nuestros dos discos, pero en su mayoría del "Otro Reverberante encuentro con Los Kahunas". El show que planeamos es bien compacto y las expectativas siempre son muchas ya que nuestro maximo placer es tocar en vivo. Además Niceto es un muy buen lugar, por sonido, escenario, luces y todo.

Los Kahunas se sienten cómodos en Niceto en general y en Compass en particular: “Nos gustan mucho esos formatos de shows compactos en fiestas. Somos una banda instrumental y con bastantes ejes de temas distintos, así que podemos tener distintas performances de acuerdo al escenario en que nos toque realizar el show. Tocamos en las mas variadas y "extremas" situaciones a lo largo de los últimos años, como el club de motos de Hells Angels en Constitución, o como invitados de La Renga en el Estadio Vélez Sarsfield". "Para mi quizá no sea el contexto ideal, pero de todos modos voy con muchas ganas de mostrar mis canciones. Ojalá sepan apreciarlas", dice el uruguayo.

- ¿Qué planes tienen para lo que queda del año?

Franny Glass: Quiero terminar de grabar y editar el segundo disco. Y también volver a tocar en vivo con Mersey, banda de la que formo parte, y con la cual desde hace casi un año que no tocamos.

Los Kahunas: Planeamos: hacer un festejo por nuestros primeros 100 shows, rodar un nuevo clip del disco "Otro Reverberante encuentro con Los Kahunas", y entrar a grabar un nuevo EP de surf japonés. Además de estar ultimando detalles para realizar una gira por el interior y el exterior en Uruguay, Brasil y Chile.
